Matt Terrien
Director of Investments
Matt Terrien, CFA®, Director of Investments at Twickenham Advisors, graduated from the University of Michigan in 1990 with a B.A. degree in Economics. Matt spent the first five years of his career in management consulting with Price Waterhouse, LLP. He made a career shift into the investment industry and has spent the last 30 years working for a variety of portfolio management, research and consulting firms, primarily in Chicago, IL and Philadelphia, PA. His focus has been on honing his skills in the realms of asset allocation, risk management, quantitative research techniques, and investment manager due diligence. Matt has considerable experience managing both traditional and alternative investment portfolios.
Matt is a CFA charter holder, having earned the right to use the designation in 2001. Matt’s approach to investment management is one that recognizes the value of both art and science in portfolio design and implementation. Humility, skepticism, a strong work ethic and insatiable curiosity are hallmarks of Matt’s professional ethos. The greatest reward and privilege, however, is the gratification Matt receives from building rigorous portfolios designed to maximize the probability of achieving clients’ financial objectives, thereby enabling them to pursue their goals and dreams.
Matt is married to Rhonda Kay, and they have two children, Caitlyn, an aspiring nurse, and Elijah, an aspiring musician. They are actively involved in their church community and are thrilled to be leaving Chicago winters behind.
